June 2023 Monthly Round Up

We are ringing in the end of June exceptionally delayed and that is my fault (Niamh). The end of June was insane with the end of the School Tour Season, finding my feet with a new role in work and Emma being my personal support when energy levels were exceptionally low! June saw us celebrate Emma’s birthday in Emma’s month! One of the many highlights had to be being together for more than 24 hours surrounded by incredible up and coming music at Riverfest. So without further ado here is how June played out for us.

Book of the Month

E: The Bridgerton Series by Julia Quinn. I got one as a gift and decided to get even more. It’s all Niamh’s fault then XD

N: Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I dove back into the classics.

E: American Born Chinese – a different take on Chinese mythology with a fantastic cast.

N: Gilmore Girls. I went down a rabbit hole of comfort shows this month.

E: Extraction 2 – I’ll do my best to get a review on this one up but all I can say is *ladder physics*

N: Falling Inn Love – We just love when I’m binge watch all the adorable cringey romance movies.

Gaming Picks

E: Forspoken – another gift from Niamh and a great game with great concepts.

N: Disney Dreamlight – has been winning this month after a number of updates I’m slowly working my way through it!

E: Probably my birthday because it was pretty much the only chill day I got all month and seeing Niamh because it reminds me I am more than my job.

N: Music Festival season kicked off with a bang while celebrating Emma’s birthday!

Event of the Month

E: Actually getting to a gig means Riverfest is the event of the month for me.

N: Riverfest hands down. Already cannot wait for next year!

E: Walking into work and having my colleagues turn around and say happy birthday all of a sudden.

N: Finally getting some of my friends to a Chasing Abbey performance. Proud moment!

Three things you are most excited about for July
