March 2022 Monthly Round Up

Welcome to another monthly Round Up All! We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating St Patrick’s Day and are surviving this current next round of a certain rise in cases. Although it’s been a quick month for us here at Our Muchness Guide, it’s been jam packed with insane moments, be it at work, at gigs or just those few days where Emma came to visit and accompanied me to work (E: Bring Your Bestie to Work Day XD).

So here we go with our March picks!

P.S. the sheep in our post photo is a 100% accurate representation of our March

Book of the Month

E: I read a surprising amount of books this month but none of them were really spectacular reads so I’m going to pick one of my old favourites Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman.

N: By Any Other Name by Lauren Kate. Our avid readers may recognize the name. Lauren is one of my favourite others and her new book ‘By Any Other Name’s came out at the beginning of the month.

Movies & TV

TV Show Picks

E: So I started two series this month: Locke & Key and Teen Wolf. One is supernatural and I don’t understand the hype around it, the other has Dylan O’Brien and werewolves. Teen Wolf wins.

N: With the new season in full swing I have started Peaky Blinders again. Loving every minute of it.

Good Movie Recommendation

E: Uncharted. My favourite game series got a movie that’s not absolutely horrific. I feel a franchise coming and I really hope I’m right!

N: The Batman. I am a massive fan of this version of Batman. It’s dark, detective orientated and reminds me of the Arkham video game. Robert Pattinson surprised me, I knew he’d do great but he surpassed all of my expectations.

Cheesy Bad Movie Recommendation

E: Marry Me. If you missed our review, check it out. Marry Me is probably the cheesiest thing I’ve seen in a while and when I say cheesy I mean you can see the plot coming the same way you can smell camembert.

N: I went on a Alex Pettyfer binge so Beastly is this monthly cheesy choice. I adore it and him.

Gaming Picks

E: Gran Turismo 7. My brother and I have been playing the game together. I am Stax Vermappen and my brother is Peco Cherez. If you see what we did there, you’ll understand our racing styles.

N: Lego DC Villains, I’m making my way through it.

Music

Single of the Month

E: ‘COMPLETE MESS’ 5 Seconds of Summer. This is so mellow but such an anthem at the same time. To say I love this song is an understatement.

N: ’10 Things I Hate About You’ Leah Kate. It was all over my TikTok for ages before it FINALLY came out last week. Adore it and yes I am screaming the lyrics when I think about the past.

Album/EP of the Month

E: I genuinely enjoyed Sofia Carson’s self titled album. It’s not the typical sugary sweet pop that Disney alum sometimes produce.

N: It may be a bit of a surprise if you know me but Crash by Charli XCX. A solid album from this absolute Queen!

Favourite Things

Favourite Thing About March?

E: Honestly the sunshine and the days getting longer. I missed sunlight. I know that doesn’t seem like much but I love the sunshine.

N: Irish music blew it out of the park this month! Between gigs and music releases; it was unforgettable!

Favourite Item of the Month

E: The absolute ton of notebooks I own which I’m actually using now to make notes and write. It’s always nice to be back writing again.

N: With the amount of them I had to do… Antigen tests. All joking aside, they stayed negative throughout and my co workers dropped like flies.

Event of the Month

E: Wild Youth in The Academy in Dublin and just having the time of my life singing and dancing with so many of my favourite people.

N: PaddysFest, Luker’s aka my first Chasing Abbey gig back.

Moment of the Month

E: Any time the phrase “Is it me?! Am I the drama?” was used and it was used a lot.

N: Being the sap that I am, my reunion with Chasing Abbey. Great to be back at one of their gigs. I think my smile for their entire set said it all.

Your Quote of the Month

E: Person 1: Is she bipolar?

Person 2: No, you’re just a fuck up. (I cried laughing at this. Literally.)

N: “Don’t you dare fuck with me… he said to dance…” courtesy of a lovely lady at Robert Grace’s gig.

Three things you are most excited about for April

E: We’re off to London (a few bits and all that), we have a 5 Seconds of Summer gig to go to (finally!) and new music. Something’s coming, I just know it.

N: Starting my practical days of a course I’m doing, Róisín Ó’s new album and heading to London for a few bits.
