My Year in Music – July

“July please I’m on my knees” Leave, you were soooooo long! This simultaneously feels like the fastest and the slowest year of my life so far, if that makes sense. It is August and as always it’s time to add to our pretty damn big playlist! July saw me return to work in the post office (which has a very minimal playlist that isn’t even technically ours and, in fact, belongs to the local shopping centre that we are attached to). So, besides tired, right now, more than ever, I am feeling hard done by because of Ms. Rona; Our Muchness Guide is missing the almost annual trip to Mitchelstown in Cork for Indiependence. So, if anyone wants me I’ll probably be in the post office of my home town or, you know, passed the fudge out in bed. Peace!

As always here’s the links for YouTube and Spotify

July 1: Never Enough – The Greatest Showman Soundtrack

July 2: Toxic – Britney Spears

July 3: Can’t Do Without – Johnny Bourke (Johnny was one of our sneak peeks in July and I really and truly fell in love with this song)

July 4: Moral of the Story – Ashe

July 5: Treat People With Kindness – Harry Styles (Just saying that’s all)

July 6: Do You Know The Way to San Jose – Dionne Warwick (Such an iconic song. Also “San Jose? Sure that’s the back of beyonds”)

July 7: Sit Still, Look Pretty – Daya

July 8: Renegade Master – Wildchild

July 9: Played-A-Live – Safri Duo

July 10: Walk of Life – Dire Straits

July 11: Sucker for Pain – Imagine Dragons

July 12: Blinding Lights – The Weeknd

July 13: These Words – Natasha Bedingfield

July 14: Easier – 5 Seconds of Summer (This is actually on the shopping centre playlist and brings so much joy to my days when I hear it. Funny, how a Midlands shopping centre can have it on their playlist but some national radio stations can’t. Just sayin’)

July 15: Hero – Enrique Iglesias

July 16: Dancing on the Ceiling – Lionel Richie

July 17: Freedom! ’90 – George Michael

July 18: Killing in the Name Of – Rage Against the Machine (My brother decided to help by supplying song titles; this is his suggestion)

July 19: Believe – Cher

July 20: Strip – Little Mix

July 21: Valerie – Mark Ronson ft. Amy Winehouse (This song will forever and always remind me of  the wonderful Naya Rivera ❤ R.I.P. She sang this so well and I will include her version too on both playlists if I can find it)

July 22: These Days – Rudimental

July 23: Drag Me Down – One Direction (It would be remiss of me to ignore the tenth anniversary of 1D. They were kind of a big deal.)

July 24: Take Me to Church – Hozier

July 25: I Feel Love – Donna Summer

July 26: Breaking Me – Topic

July 27: Be Someone – Camelphat

July 28: Mad – Laoise

July 29: I’m Outta Love – Anastacia

July 30: Red, Red Wine – UB40

July 31: Piece of Your Heart – Meduza (I have no idea how this track didn’t make it onto the playlist sooner O.o)
